midterm madness

yikes! i'm drowning in paints, sleeping in paints, eating paints...here's a glimpse of my progress for figure studio's midterm, i'm only on stage 2 out of 458 >_<

prepping the wood canvas took awhile, laid layers of matte medium and a thin coat of clear gesso. This is by far the biggest canvas i've worked on with oils, 30x24
and that's not even the challenge!

life has been pretty hectic, I have been working on a secret project for months and it's finishing in about a week, would love to show and tell on my blog but i've been sworn to secrecy on this :P

WIP portrait assignment for a narrative illustration class. i decided to pick edie sedgwick, the poor little rich girl as the subject, played up with secondary images of the men in her life in the 60s. now it's time to put some paints down!
